  • Organize and communicate the daily schedule and calendar for a team of 14 people, built around daily shoots for news of the day, enterprise pieces, and individual station requests

  • Ensure the distribution of content to three dozen stations across the company

  • Develop relationships with dozens of lawmakers, ensuring access for our stations for both daily stories and special events

  • Contribute to the production of daily stories, including researching, contacting, and interviewing subjects, choosing sound bytes, videos and natural sound for pieces, developing and executing graphics, and working with reporters on package copy

  • Built both an evening and morning newscast from the ground up

  • Trained north of a dozen employees, new to the company, on graphics and other internal systems

  • Spearheaded successful efforts to build graphics packages, branded segments, and coordinated with dozens of stations across the country 

  • Designed "Pulse of America," now one of the signature segments on The National Desk's on-air product  

  • Supervised a team of associated producers, writers, and editors in order to air 5 hours of news in the morning, and later 2 hours of news in the evening five days a week

  • Set the tone for station's daily coverage, crafting the lead-off show at 4pm for events like the resignation of Mayor Catherine Pugh

  • Responsible for producing 10pm show Sundays, the station's flagship newscast

  • Helped coordinate remote capabilities for the station's response to the Covid-19 pandemic 

  • Provided both editorial and desk support on Sundays, during breaking and fluid situations, as well as monitoring scanner and social feeds for content

  • Pitched ideas to reporters and assignment desk

December 2015 - September 2018

  • Interviewed, hired and supervised Summer interns

  • Volunteered for special productions, including yearly hurricane special and three-hour special on Great American Eclipse

  • Took charge in multiple breaking news and national news situations, including the trials of Dylann Roof and Michael Slager

  • Produced shows during Hurricane Matthew and Hurricane Irma, the former of which resulted in an Emmy-Nominated newscast, while supervising wall-to-wall, 24 hour coverage

  • Wrote and formatted web and social media content

  • Monitored social media for breaking news to ensure station had the latest content first

  • Volunteered for field producing opportunities, including the GOP presidential debate and other campaign events during the 2016 election

November 2014 - December 2015

  • Provided editorial and video support to FNC bureaus worldwide, ingesting and editing video for producers around the globe

  • Dealt with multiple breaking news situations in a national context, transcribing important speeches and monitoring wires for information

  • Worked overnight shifts, which led to direct contact with many international news organizations

  • Took lead on primetime shift, cutting SOTs for network programming, including shows like The Kelly File,

    and Hannity
